Histopathology (for mass removals)

Once we have surgically removed a mass from your pet, it is recommended to send it to a diagnostic laboratory for further testing. The pathologist will be able to classify the mass as a benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous) growth. Even if the doctor has performed an aspirate and cytology in the clinic to determine the type of mass, histopathology is required to ensure we have completely removed all the abnormal cells.
