Your pet will be undergoing general anesthesia plus a surgical procedure. In order to recognize any underlying abnormalities your pet may have, we recommend having a pre-surgical blood profile performed. This consists of a Complete Blood Cell Count/CBC (white and red blood cell values and platelets) and a Chemistry Panel (kidney and liver enzymes, blood glucose, electrolytes, calcium, and proteins). These blood tests will help us to better assess the health status of your pet and determine if there are any additional precautions we need to take before surgery. There is an additional charge for the blood tests.
